2 hurt in Makati restaurant blast

MAKATI - Two people were injured when an LPG tank exploded inside a restaurant in Makati City Monday, authorities said.

Three other establishments and and a house were also damaged in the blast that hit Savory Restaurant along Makati Avenue, according to Senior Inspector Leo Andiso of the Makati Bureau of Fire Prevention.

Two of the restaurant's workers, Arnel Pagulayan and Mario Magsibang, sustained minor injuries.

Initial reports said one worker accidentally stepped on the hose of an LPG tank in the restaurant's kitchen.

The restaunrant's employees then suddenly heard a strong sound of leaking gas.

They all ran outside the restaurant before the LPG tank exploded.
