WATCH: Vhong mauling suspect Fernandez faces DOJ
MANILA - Jed Fernandez on Friday filed his counter-affidavit with the Department of Justice (DOJ) on the criminal charges filed against him and several others, including businessman Cedric Lee and model Deniece Cornejo, by actor-comedian Vhong Navarro.
Fernandez appeared and personally subscribed to his counter-affidavit. He urged the DOJ to junk the charges against him, among them, the non-bailable charge of serious illegal detention.
The DOJ, meantime, gave another respondent, Ferdinand Guerrero, until March 14 to file his counter-affidavit.
The panel of prosecutors intend to wrap up the preliminary investigation into Navarro's complaint on said date, since only Guerrero has yet to submit his defense.
