Police have arrested five suspects, including two minors, in the robbery and rape-slay of a 22-year-old nurse in Manila early this week.
The Manila Police District identified three of the suspects as Joseph Satuito, 39; Reggie Magat, 48; and Edmund Gameng, 29. Satuito's two sons, aged 17 and 15, were also arrested.
Members of the MPD's arrested the Satuitos at their home in Marilao town, Bulacan province around 11 p.m. while Magat and Gameng were nabbed in separate follow up operations in Sampaloc, Manila.
Police said Satuito's 17-year-old son is the primary suspect in the rape and killing of Rosalie Turcolas inside her condominium unit at Nisus Building along A.H. Lacson Avenue in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
Robbers broke in at Turcolas's condominium unit on Sunday night. She was found dead and naked from the waist down on her bed the following night.
The nurse had a single gunshot wound in the head. The robbers escaped from the building with the nurse's cash, laptop, cellular phone and other personal belongings worth at least P70,000.
Police said robbery was the main motive of the suspects, but decided to rape and kill her before leaving the condominium unit.
