MANILA -- Raphael Marcial, a member of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) who was arrested for faking ATM cards, will be facing appropriate disciplinary action, according to Presidential Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma.

"All PSG members and government employees are expected to be law-abiding citizens at all times. They must face the consequences of their actions in accordance with the law," he added.

Coloma added that Commodore Raul Ubando, group commander of the PSG, has already issued a relief order against Marcial, who will also be put under inquest by the fiscal's office in Manila.

Coloma also said the PSG will ensure that Marcial's legal rights will be respected.

"Pagkatapos po noon, depende sa magiging findings ng inquest, meron naman pong mga sinusunod na patakaran ang AFP at ang PSG hinggil sa appropriate disciplinary actions at ito po ay ipatutupad," he said.

Marcial was arrested last Friday after he was caught faking ATM cards at an Eastwest Bank branch in Brgy. Magallanes, Makati City.
