MANILA, Philippines – A man died after he was hit by a motorcycle in the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City around 6 a.m. Sunday.
The man was later identified as Edgardo Sagun, a resident of Barangay Carmona, Makati.
Traffic enforcer Alex Mata said the motorcycle driver, identified as Edmund Balderan, was speeding and was thus not able to see Sagun, who was crossing the street.
Balderan, a 31-year-old chef who resides in Caloocan City, bore serious injuries and was rushed to the San Juan de Dios Hospital.
Sagun’s remains were brought to a nearby funeral home.
He was not using a pedestrian lane when he crossed the street. -- Report from Dennis Datu, DZMM.
