MANILA, Philippines – The number coding will still be in effect on February 25, when the country commemorates the 27th anniversary of the 1st People Power Revolution, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

In its Twitter account, the MMDA said: " Number Coding will be ENFORCED on Monday, February 25."

This means that vehicles with registration plate numbers ending in 1 and 2 will still not be allowed to use major roads between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The MMDA made this announcement even as the Palace reminded the public that February 25 is a holiday only for all schools nationwide.
