MANILA - A fish vendor was gunned down inside his house in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City Thursday morning.
The victim, identified as 37-year-old Dante Awa, was shot at close range by two still unidentified suspects at around 9 a.m.
According to the victim's neighbors, the faces of the suspects were covered with handkerchiefs.
They said the suspects escaped on foot after the incident.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered from the crime scene empty bullet shells from a 9mm pistol and .38 caliber pistol.
Authorities believe robbery was the motive in the killing, as the relatives of the victims said the P20,000 that Awa earned from selling fish at the Commonwealth Market earlier was missing. -- Report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
