MANILA - Four pedestrians were injured after they were hit by a jeepney along Roxas Boulevard corner Airport Road in Baclaran, Parañaque City Thursday morning.
Authorities said the victims were crossing the street when they were hit by the jeepney with plate number NWT 996 driven by Ronald Robles Borcelas.
The victims were brought to the Parañaque Community Hospital for treatment.
Borcelas, who is now under the custody of Parañaque City Police, claimed he lost control of the jeepney, causing him to hit the pedestrians.
But the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcer who was on duty at the time of the incident said the jeepney was speeding.
Investigation also showed that the driver had a fake driver's license. Borcelas' photo was just glued to the license of his sibling. - Report from Henry Atuelan, dzMM
