MANILA, Philippines - Bayan Patroller Mark Calasin was on his way home last Saturday when he saw an old man slumped on the sidewalk of Roxas Boulevard past 5:30 p.m.

The man was lying on the pavement unconscious and bystanders said he was carried down from the jeep he was riding in.

Mark sent the photo to BMPM to get the media's help in informing the family.

Jeepney barker Jun Advincula said people in the area helped when they saw the man.

"Nakita ko na lang po nasa tabi na po yung mama. Sa jeep, ibinaba ng drayber. Tumawag na lang po ako kaagad ng rescue. Yun ang unang ano ko dahil gusto ko ding matulungan yung tao," he said.

Pasay City Rescue responded and brought him to the hospital. However, he was declared dead on arrival.

Pasay City Rescue also gave advice on what to do if anybody sees anyone who is having a stroke or who needs any form of assistance.

"Itawag na lang po sa 117, sabihin nalang po ang details kung saang location at for sure naman po dadating ang rescuer natin all over the cities po," Pasay Rescue team leader Randy Hizola said.
