MANILA -- More than P7 million worth of fake or pirated DVDs and CDs were confiscated by operatives of the Optical Media Board (OMB) in Pasig City on Sunday.
According to OMB chairman Ronnie Ricketts, they seized more than 50 sacks of pirated DVDs and CDs worth an estimated P7.7 million.
The raid was conducted by the OMB together with operatives from the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) to ensure the safety and order of the operation in Metrowalk in Pasig City.
The OMB added that most of the pirated DVDs and CDs were from China. -- report from Henry Atuelan, dzMM
