MANILA, Philippines – Two died while three others were hurt in a three-vehicle pile-up along C5 in Libis, Quezon City early Sunday morning.
A green Asian utility vehicle (AUV) with plate number XNE 898 collided into a passenger jeepney, which then collided with a parked passenger jeepney.
Meanwhile, a trailer truck attempted to avoid the accident only for its wheel to get caught in the center island of the road.
The driver of the AUV as well as one of the jeepney’s passengers died in the accident.
The still-unidentified passenger was already on his way out of the jeepney when the accident occurred.
Meanwhile, three passengers of the AUV were hurt in the accident and have yet to be identified.
According to investigations, the AUV may have been speeding and one of its passengers may have been drunk, leading to the accident.
