MANILA – The state weather bureau said the cold weather brought by the northeast monsoon or "amihan" will continue to prevail.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Gener Quitlong said the cold weather is seen to last until next week, after which the country will see a transition to the summer season.
Jun Galang, another PAGASA forecaster said, temperatures in Metro Manila will range between 20 and 31 degrees Celsius today.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said due to the "trough" or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility, Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.
Visayas will be cloudy with light rains, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
