MANILA, Philippines -- Two employees working at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) returned the money they found in separate incidents.
MIAA general manager Jose Angel Hondrado said janitor Richard Baybayon did not think twice in returning a clutch bag he found at the Terminal 1. The bag contained foreign denominations worth a total of P176,000, an electronic gadget and jewelry.
The bag was later identified to be owned by British national Alan Bernard Stephens, who asked for souvenir photos alongside Baybayon.
Over at Terminal 2, Mark Joven Aquino, a canteen service crew, returned a chaleco (vest) that contained P60,000 in cash.
The vest has been turned over to the MIAA Intelligence and Investigation Division. – from a report by Henry Atuelan, dzMM
