MANILA – A man was arrested over an alleged hit-and-run incident involving a woman along Timog Avenue in Quezon City before dawn Friday.
The suspect, identified as Henry Mariano Inductivo, was driving a car when he hit a woman at the corner of Timog Avenue and Scout Ybardolaza Street at around 5 a.m.
Police said Inductivo, a 31-year-old resident of Corinthian Gardens, ignored the woman and immediately sped off.
The suspect, however, was arrested by policemen who witnessed the hit-and-run incident after he got stuck in traffic along the same avenue.
Police said the suspect had just come from a drinking session when the incident occurred. They added the suspect was resisting his arrest.
The woman, reportedly a guest relations officer, was brought to Quezon City General Hospital for treatment. – reports from Kori Quintos, ABS-CBN News; and Johnson Manabat, dzMM
