MANILA – A suspect in the killing of a father and his son in Malabon City surrendered on Thursday evening.

Anthony Sernechez, a suspect in the killing last Wednesday of Felizardo Coralde Jr. and his son Albert, said his conscience forced him to surrender to Caloocan Police.

Felizardo, 46, and Albert, 19, were found with their necks slashed inside their room at the second floor of their house in Barangay Ibaba, Malabon City last Wednesday.

Sernechez said he and a certain Aries Santos were drunk when they barged into the victims' house to steal some items.

The victims' relatives said Santos, who remains at large, is a nephew of the older Coralde and cousin of Albert.

Sernechez also denied killing the victims, saying what he only did was tie them up.

He said he and Santos took off with the victims' cash and gadgets. – report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
