MANILA, Philippines – Superintendent Hansel Marantan was again brought to the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City for an electromyogram test on Thursday.

Marantan, who was shot on the hand and foot during the alleged shootout in Atimonan, Quezon last month, was transferred from the Philippine National Police General Hospital (PNP-GH) to the private hospital at around 2 p.m.

Supt. Ma. Angela Vidal, director of the PNP Health Service, said aside from Marantan’s record in St. Luke’s, it is one of the hospitals that has the necessary equipment for the procedure.

Vidal, however, said Marantan will return to PNP-GH because he is still under restricted custody.

Marantan was previously confined in St. Luke’s before he was transferred to the PNP-GH on January 24. -- Report from Edwin Sevidal, dzMM
