HS teacher caught selling shabu in UP Diliman

MANILA, Philippines - A public school teacher was arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for selling drugs inside the University of the Philippines-Diliman.

PDEA identified the suspect as Arnulfo Remigio alias "Kid", a resident of Block 10, Lot 3, Carnation Street, Capitol Park Homes II Subdivision, Caloocan City, and a  teacher at the Amparo High School in Caloocan City.

He was arrested during a buy-bust operation last January 26, 2013.

Authorities said Remigio was arrested for selling shabu to a PDEA agent who was posing as a buyer near UP Diliman.

Seized from Remigio's possession were drug paraphernalia and the P500 marked money paid by the agent.

PDEA said the suspect is known for allegedly selling drugs in popular hangouts on Commonwealth Avenue including UP Technohub.

Remigio is presently detained at the PDEA custodial facility in Quezon City. Charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court against him.
