MANILA, Philippines – The cold weather in Metro Manila may last until the first week of February, weather bureau PAGASA said on Saturday.
According to weather forecaster Fernando Cada, the northeast monsoon are still affecting Luzon, bringing cold winds to the region.
Cada said weather is not expected to get any colder in Metro Manila, where a new temperature low of 18.1 degrees Celsius was recorded on Thursday.
However, Cada said temperature may continue to dip in Northern Luzon, particularly in Baguio.
Last week, temperature in Baguio dropped to a record low of 9.5 degrees Celsius.
He noted that by March, the country may begin to experience warm weather.
