Village chief's family tied up during robbery

MANILA – Unidentified men barged into the home of a barangay chairman and tied up his family before carting away around P1.5 million worth of cash and jewelry in Sampaloc, Manila.

The robbers victimized Barangay Chairman Carlo Zamora's family by barging into his home in No. 624 Lacson Avenue in Sampaloc on Friday morning.

According to a DZMM report, the suspects entered the house when Zamora opened his gate. The suspects also destroyed the CCTV installed inside his home.

The suspects ordered the family to open the vault which contained cash and jewelry before tying them up
