MANILA - A member of the reserved force of the Philippine Army is set to face trial today after allegedly trying to bring cocaine and marijuana to a jail yesterday.
Peligro Asilo allegedly tried to deliver the said drugs to Yaacov Amsalem, a French Israeli that is currently detained at that National Bureau of Investigation.
According to Asilo, he was only ordered by Rabi Yosef Levi, who is from a Jewish Shabbat Center in Makati, to bring food to Yaacov.
The said food was in a sealed container. The authorities found inside what they suspect to be cocaine and dried marijuana, including 20 thousand pesos.
The suspect is now being put under drug-test and shall face charges for violating RA 9165, or the Dangerous Drugs Act. - from a report by Kori Quintos, ABS-CBN News
