MANILA -- The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) CyberCrime Division on Tuesday arrested two suspected Nigerian hackers at a travel agency in Novaliches, Quezon City.
One of the suspects, Babatunde Disunmu, owns the travel agency.
NBI received information that the two allegedly hack online accounts to divert payments from other travel agencies to their own account.
They earned at least P500,000 from the scheme, the NBI said.
The two suspects will be charged with violation of E-Commerce Act.
Babatunde, however, denied the charges and insisted that his travel agency business is legal.
NBI warned the public to be careful in giving personal information online to avoid getting hacked. -- report from Zhander Cayabyab, dzMM
