MANILA – A girl survived after being hit by a stray bullet while she was sleeping inside her house along M. Hizon Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Tuesday morning.
The girl, aged 7, was preparing for school at around 5 a.m. when she noticed blood on her shoulder. When she had it checked by her cousin, she discovered that a bullet had grazed her.
An empty slug, believed to be from a .45-caliber pistol, was found on the victim's bed.
The victim was brought to Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center to have her superficial wound treated. As of posting, she was already discharged from the hospital.
Neighbors of the victim claimed they heard a gunshot at around 3 a.m.
