MANILA, Philippines – Three people were found dead inside their own home in Leonor Rivera Street corner Antipolo Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Sunday.

The victims were identified as Jessie de Guzman, his son Jeramel and his daugher Jennifer.

According to Police Senior Inspector Ismael dela Cruz of the Manila Police District, 8-year old Chuk-chak (not her real name) saw her uncle de Guzman went up Jeramel's and Jennifer’s room at around 6 a.m. carrying a bottle of softdrinks allegedly filled with silver nitrate.

When de Guzman reached his children’s room, Chuk-chak reportedly heard her cousins say: “Itay, tama na po, itay.”

Following this, de Guzman’s wife Editha discovered the three lifeless bodies between 10:30 a.m to 11:00 a.m. Editha just got home from selling chicken outside their apartment.

Authorities suspect it was de Guzman who actually carried out the crime.

A stainless glass, two pitchers and a hammer were found at the crime scene.

Aside from burns in their lips, the children sustained bruises in their foreheads.

Authorities have yet to identify the motive behind the crime. – from a report by Dennis Datu, dzMM
