MANILA -- A dead man was found stuffed inside a garbage bag and dumped near the footbridge in Philcoa, Quezon City on Friday evening.

The naked body of the man, identified only as "Bungo" by construction workers in the area, was found at around 9:30 p.m.

"Pagsipa po namin lumabas yung dulo ng daliri ng paa. So sabi ko tao nga 'to. Magpara tayo ng mobile na unang dadaan," a construction worker said.

Police said the victim bore stab wounds from an ice pick in different parts of his body.

The man was believed to be aged between 25 to 30 years old and about 5'6" to 5'7" in height. His hair was dyed blue. He also bore tattoo marks.

According to residents in the area, Bungo, who they said lived in Fairview, was nabbed by barangay authorities last Thursday and had been missing since then.

Authorities are still investigating the incident. -- Reports from Eric Dastas, dzMM; Kori Quintos, ABS-CBN News
