MANILA, Philippines – While Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim decided to keep mum, former and current officials of the Manila City Hall believe that the prediction made by psychic Danny Atienza about the upcoming elections will definitely come true.

Atienza predicted during a media forum held in Club Filipino in San Juan City last week that there is a 99% chance that former President Joseph Estrada, who is now running for Mayor in Manila, would lose to Lim in the elections in May.

According to chief of staff and media bureau director Ric de Guzman, Lim will definitely be victorious considering the way had taken care of the basic needs of Manila residents

Citing Lim’s initiatives to help the the poor ones, and his free education and health care programs, de Guzman said Lim “is expected to win hands down.”

Setting aside his personal relationship with the mayor, City Administrator Jay Marzan, for his part, thinks Lim would win the mayoralty race because of his accomplishments during his first and second incumbencies.

Even officials during the term of former Manila Mayor Lito Atienza expressed their support for Lim.

Ryan Ponce, who has held various positions in City Hall, said: “If Danny Atienza predicts a 99% Erap loss, ako kahit hindi psychic, I predict a 100% Erap loss.”

Another former city official Jason Valencia said “majority wants to reward Mayor Lim with an unprecendented third and last term as father of the city.”
