MANILA – A policeman lost a portion of his ear after he was hit by a bus in Quezon City on Wednesday evening.
PO3 Reynaldo Tumala was about to board his patrol car when he was hit by an Admiral Transport bus driven by Paolo Butin along Congressional Avenue at around 9 p.m.
Aside from having his ear cut, Tumala also sustained bruises on several parts of his body.
Butin, on the other hand, was mauled by angry bystanders after he allegedly tried to run over Tumala after sideswiping the policeman.
Both Tumala and Butin are now being treated in the hospital.
