MANILA, Philippines – Police have located one of the suspects in the shooting at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 last December 20 that resulted in the death of Mayor Ukol Talumpa of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur and three others.
According to Task Force Talumpa head Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran, their group tracked one of the suspects, identified as Marux Amblong, to a province in Mindanao.
Beltran did not give details as to Amblong’s exact location as the operation is still ongoing.
At the same time, they cannot capture Amblong yet as there is still no warrant of arrest out for the suspect.
Amblong and two other suspects were charged with multiple murder and multiple frustrated murder more than a week after the shooting.
Amblong has been identified as a friend of former Labangan Mayor Wilson “Kity” Nandang, but police have yet to uncover strong evidence that points to Nandang as the mastermind of Talumpa’s shooting. -- Report from Dennis Datu, DZMM.
