MANILA – Makati Mayor Romulo ''Kid'' Peña is offering a reward to anyone who can give information on the whereabouts of a barangay watchman (tanod) who figured in a fatal shooting incident on New Year's Eve.

Speaking to dzMM on Monday, Peña said a P100,000 reward will be given to anyone who can give information on the whereabouts of Raymundo Liza, a barangay tanod who allegedly shot dead John Edward Pascual and a 7-year-old boy.

The 7-year-old boy died Friday after falling into a coma. Pascual, 28, died Saturday morning due to gunshot wounds in his pancreas.

Mark Anthony Diego, the boy's father, said Liza was drunk when he arrived on board a motorcycle at their celebration in Palar Village.

Liza allegedly confronted Pascual, a guest at the party, and then repeatedly fired his .45-caliber gun.

Peña said Liza is known to be a short-tempered man. He, however, said he has yet to verify whether Liza is still active, dismissed, or suspended from work.

Peña said assistance has been given to the family of the victims.
