MANILA -- Residents who headed to the provinces for the Christmas and New Year holidays have begun to arrive at bus terminals and other transport hubs in Metro Manila.
The slow trickle of commuters is expected to turn into a flood as the weekend wears on.
Bus companies have assured travelers that there will be enough buses making trips back to Metro Manila from the various provinces.
They also said they have made sure that the buses will be safe.
The influx of returning residents is likely to increase dramatically starting Saturday night until Monday morning.
This is expected to worsen traffic congestion in the metropolis. -- ANC
