MANILA, Philippines -- A seven-year-old girl is in critical condition after being hit by a stray bullet in Caloocan on New Year's Eve.
Stephanie Nicole Ella's uncle, Marvin, said they were watching fireworks display with siblings and cousins outside their house at Barangay 138 when the victim was suddenly shot in the head.
Marvin thinks that the bullet might have come from a policeman's gun since they have plenty of neighbors who are in the police force.
Meanwhile, five other victims of stray bullets are also still seeking treatment at the East Avenue Medical Center.
At least 62 people have been rushed to EAMC for firecracker-related injuries as of Tuesday morning.
The doctors said they are anticipating more patients as the day progresses. -- Report from Jacque Manabat, ABS-CBN News
