MANILA, Philippines – Hundreds of passengers were frustrated after missing their trip home to provinces in time for Christmas.

Cebu Pacific cancelled three flights to Naga, Bicol due to bad weather and advised their passengers to rebook their flights instead.

“Sabi ko, 'Look at the insensitivity.' Kaya lang nag-uuwian ang mga tao is because of this season. Para que pa't uuwi kami after the season?” said Adelpa Adriano, who planned her family’s trip to Naga for months.

They also complained that no one from the airline company answered their queries about the chance to fly to Bicol in time for the holiday.

“Ang mga customer nila nag-aabang sa kanila. Sabi namin, ‘Can we refund our ticket?’ Wala raw refund,” said Anselmo Adriano.

Some of the passengers had to stay around the airport as they waited for their flights to be rebooked.

In an advisory, Cebu Pacific announced it was forced to cancel some of their flights due to bad weather in Naga.

“Affected guests are being re-accommodated on the next available flights. They may also rebook without penalties for travel in the next 30 days, or opt for full travel fund,” the airline company said. “We hope for our passengers' understanding as this is beyond the airline's control.”

Some of the passengers were forced to drop their vacation plans and spend their Christmas in Manila. -- With a report from Gretchen Malalad, ABS-CBN News
