MANILA, Philippines - The Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET)  has allowed the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to use ballot boxes that were set aside for the electoral protest of 2010 Vice-presidential bet Mar Roxas against Vice-President Jejomar Binay.

In a 15-page resolution, the Comelec allowed the poll body to use 57,255 out of the 76,340 ballot boxes subject of the protest case. The PET directed the poll body to transfer all the ballots covered by the protest to the remaining 19,085 ballot boxes, subject to strict guidelines.
