MANILA, Philippines – Pangasinan Rep. Kimi Cojuangco blamed House Majority Leader Neptali Gonzales for the delays in the tackling of amendments in the reproductive health (RH) bill at the House of Representatives.
Cojuangco called Gonzales ineffective, weak and lacking in leadership for the constant absenteeism of congressmen every time the RH bill would be tackled.
The lawmaker said Gonzales has been promising RH bill proponents that the measure will be tackled soon.
For his part, Gonzales blamed the pro-RH bill proponents for not mustering enough support for the bill. He said it is not his job to make sure that there is a quorum in the House.
He said it is for the proponents to make sure that they have the numbers every time the issue is tackled.
