MANILA - Three more party-list groups got the nod to take part in the May 13 midterm elections, Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. said Thursday night.
Brillantes announced on Twitter that after a hearing and deliberations, the Comelec approved 1-UTAK, PACYAW, and Pasang Masda.
"With this, a total of 124 party list groups will be joining the 2013 Party-List Elections. Choose wisely!" he said.
The 3 party-list groups were among the 39 whose disqualifications were remanded by the Supreme Court to the Comelec along with a new set of guidelines for determining party-list groups.
Brillantes previously said the 3 groups each got votes of 2 for cancellation and approval.
Pasang Masda supporters picketed the Comelec premises earlier today.
