Leni won't blame anyone for Jesse's death
MANILA - Lawyer Maria Leonora “Leni” Robredo fully accepted the findings of the government on the cause of the plane crash that led to the untimely demise of her husband, former Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo.
The widow said she will not blame anyone for his death.
She said Jesse was already prepared to face God.
She said the praise and love that the public gave her husband is helping the family get over the tragedy.
Pilot error, insufficient experience, connivance, among other factors, affected the air worthiness of the plane carrying Robredo last August 18.
President Benigno Aquino III on Tuesday revealed the findings of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), which investigated all factors leading to the death of Robredo, Captain Jessup Bahinting and Nepalese pilot trainee Kshitiz Chand due to the faulty Piper Seneca plane that fell into the waters off Masbate.
Hindi po ako nabigo,” she said.
She noted the end of the process will finally bring closure and proper lessons for all.
