Aquino appoints envoys to Myanmar, Iran

MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III has appointed Alex G. Chua as Philippine ambassador to the Union of Myanmar and Ricardo M. Endaya as Philippine ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Aquino has also appointed the following:

  • Sahid S. Glang as ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain
     
  • Domingo C. Lucenario as ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with concurrent jurisdiction over the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikista
     
  • Maria Lourdes F. Rebueno, Bienvenido S. Bautista, Maria Lourdes T. Baua, and Aurora Ma. F. Timbol as members of the Board of Directors of the Philippine International Trading Corporation Pharma, Inc. (PPI)
     
  • Maria Gladys C. Santa Rita as member of the Board of Directors of the PNOC Shipping and Transport Corporation PNOC-STC), with a term of office beginning July 1, 2012 up to July 30, 2013
     
  • Mercedes D. Castillo as member, Board of Administrators, representing Visayas, Cooperative Development Authority, for a term expiring on July 30, 2018
     
  • Rommel R. Abesamis as assistant secretary for Foreign Assisted and Special Projects
     
  • Atty. Marcelo C. Oñate as Prosecutor IV (City Prosecutor), Office of the City Prosecutor, Ormoc City
     
  • Atty. Renato C. Samonte as Prosecutor IV (Provincial Prosecutor), Office of the Provincial Prosecutor, Bulacan
