MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Francis Pangilinan on Wednesday said he has had talks with President Aquino on a possible Cabinet position when he ends his term as senator next year, but that nothing specific was tackled.
"We discussed possibilities and options, pero wala pang final," he said.
Asked if he's interested to be secretary of the Department of Agriculture, Pangilinan answered, "Right now, obviously the position is not vacant and the secretary (Proceso Alcala) is doing a good job. Ang sa akin, 'pagka maganda ang trabaho, bakit mo papalitan?"
Pangilinan currently chairs the Senate agriculture and food committee.
