MANILA, Philippines - The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said its website has not been spared by hackers.
In a report from the CBCP News, PPCRV chairperson Henrietta de Villa said they are now tightening Internet security after the website was found hacked last Sunday. She does not know if the incident is related to the series of hacking incidents of government websites.
She said she is saddened that some are using their technology skills in a bad way.
Still, “this is good opportunity to apply necessary security to our website and change our design to make it more attractive and interactive,” she said.
“For me, this is also a wake-up call and it’s now the time for us to change our website. The election is also approaching so this is the chance,” she said.
