MANILA - Anti-political dynasty advocate Risa Hontiveros on Friday filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) alongside Bam Aquino, cousin of her ally, President Aquino.

Hontiveros stressed her stand against political dynasties remains as it is in the Constitution, but she also said everyone on the ticket is supportive of the President.
She virtually said this isn't a problem so long as they all back Aquino's reforms.

Hontiveros also defended her Akbayan party, saying marginalized sectors are never over-represented in Congress. She revealed they're still accredited for the 2013 elections.

Hontiveros welcomed Cynthia Villar in the administration ticket, but she stands by her anti-Villarroyo stance in 2010.

She said she learned her lessons from the 2010 elections and she has fighting chance now.

Hontiveros placed 13th in the last senatorial race.

Bam defended the Aquino dynasty, saying they have a history of service.

He said cousin Noynoy warned him of the hardships in politics.

He said he volunteered and went through the Liberal Party (LP) process.

He also welcomed being described as a look-alike of Ninoy.

Bam said he hopes to live up to his relatives' legacy.

He said he hopes the anti-cybercrime law will be amended. If not and he wins, he will push to amend it amid criticisms that it violates constitutional rights.

Bam said he ran to give youth a voice.

Meantime, former Ambassador Roy Seneres' son, Christian, filed his COC as well, the 7th to file today. He filed under the Democratic Party of the Philippines.
