No more weekends, Valentine's for PNoy

BOHOL - President Aquino on Wednesday gave a glimpse into his life as Chief Executive by relating the sacrifices he has to make in his work.

He said that as President, he is on call 24/7, adding that he has forgone his  weekends and special occasions such as Valentine's.

He told barangay leaders in Bohol that he has to answer 100 text messages every morning.

He also provided a light moment when he went into a coughing fit during his talk. He said the cough might have been triggered by someone remembering him but noted there is no one who could have remembered him.

Aquino admitted his role as "referee" during elections is a difficult one, with everyone wanting to have a slot in the administration party's slate.

The President did not announce the administration's senatorial slate. However, he told former Akbayan Rep. Risa Hontiveros who was with him that he hopes she can continue serving at the national level.
