MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Francis Escudero on Tuesday clarified that he has yet to decide which coalition to join for the 2013 senatorial selections.
Escudero, who has consistently ranked high in surveys, said it is up the Liberal Party (LP) and the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) to announce if they are including him in their respective slates. He earlier said he will remain an independent candidate in next year's polls.
"Hindi para sa akin na magdesisyon tungkol diyan. Desisyon 'yan ng mga koalisyon," he told reporters.
He also said he doesn't want to preempt the decision of the coalitions, but that he is open to joining both.
"Sino ba naman ako para sabihing ayaw ko at hindi? Syempre ang sagot ng sinumang tumatakbo, 'Oo at salamat,'" he said.
