MANILA, Philippines - Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero believes that national security won't be compromised even if Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile read in public Philippine Ambassador to China Sonia Brady's notes of her meeting with Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.

This is not how Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago sees it.

Yesterday, Santiago said Enrile’s disclosures may have repercussions. She said an ambassador’s reports are always confidential and for “the eyes of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs” alone.
