MANILA, Philippines - The Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) will no longer coalesce with the administration Liberal Party (LP), but an “agreement” to support each other’s bets in the 2013 polls is still on.
NPC chairman and Tarlac Rep. Henry Cojuangco said both political parties will instead sign a “partnership agreement” that will be disclosed in the days to come.
He said the agreement will ensure that each party will support the other’s candidates. Most importantly, the partnership will ensure that the programs and priorities of the Aquino administration will continue.
In case their respective candidates will clash in a similar position, the elective area will be considered a “free zone,” Cojuangco said. – from a report by Nico Delfin, ABS-CBN News Bacolod
