MANILA, Philippines - Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is suffering from severe dehydration.
In her Twitter account @gmarroyo, the incumbent Pampanga lawmaker said it may even be the cause of her recurring spinal problems.
“I keep entering the hospital and having intravenous dextrose due to my severe dehydration. A naturalist practitioner even attributed my recurring spinal problems to this severe dehydration. On his advice, I'm doing a naturalist practice of drinking lots of tap water with non-iodized natural sea salt.”
Arroyo on Monday underwent stem cell therapy. She is also seeking alternative medicine for her cervical spine problems.
Her staff maintains Arroyo's Twitter account. “To all who welcomed me to Twitter, thank you,” she said.
Arroyo also thanked the public for their continued support. “Thanks to all who sent good wishes for my health. Thanks to those who acknowledged my fundamental economic reforms that made our economy resilient & brought it on d path of sustained growth.”
On the occasion of her father and former President Diosdado Macapagal’s birth anniversary, Arroyo also shared one of her favorite quotes.
“My late father's birthday is coming at the end of this month, so I'd like to share my favorite inspirational quote, because it came from my father: do what is right, do your best, and God will take care of the rest. Do what is right, do your best, and God will take care of the rest.”
