MANILA - President Aquino has left Manila for Vladivostok, Russia to attend the APEC Summit via a chartered PAL flight.

In his departure speech, the President underscored the need to take advantage of the opportunity to foster regional cooperation and bring benefits back to the country.

The President said he also intends to raise timely issues with his counterparts. He did not elaborate which issues he will specifically raise and with which countries.

“May mga napapanahong isyu na hangad din nating idulog sa mga karatig-bansang kasama sa summit,” he said.

He will also participate in the APEC Business Advisory Council to discuss trade and investment prospects.
