MANILA - Interior and Local Government Secretary and Liberal Party president-on-leave Mar Roxas on Monday said the LP is committed to passing the anti-political dynasty law and the freedom of information law.
The anti-political dynasty law could potentially affect Vice President Jejomar Binay who is running for president in 2016.
The vice-president's son is the mayor of Makati while two daughters are members of Congress.
Roxas also told the Koalisyon ng Mamamayan para sa Reporma (Kompre) that they are all together on the dang matuwid.
The DILG chief defended his agency's P20 billion grassroots participatory budgeting program. The GPBP is allegedly the pork barrel of local government units under Roxas.
Members of the Aquino Cabinet joined the launch of Kompre Monday.
Aside from Roxas, the other Cabinet secretaries who joined the launch are Transportation Secretary Jun Abaya, Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda and Presidential Political Adviser Ronal Llamas.
