President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III has frowned on the idea of a house arrest for his predecessor, now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Calls for an Arroyo house arrest came after the Supreme Court allowed Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, who is also facing plunder charges, to post bail.
"Hospital arrest in itself is a privilege. Whatever available cure, remedies are given in a timely fashion," Aquino said.

He added that it would not make sense if Arroyo, who is suffering from various ailments, will be under house arrest.
"Kapag inuwi sa bahay, wala nang issue sa kalusugan. Kung wala na issue sa kalusugan, bakit nasa ospital pa?" Aquino added.
Aquino reiterated that plunder is non-bailable.
"Importante may ginawa kang krimen, kailangan pagbayaran," Aquino said.
