MANILA, Philippines – The brother of the late Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo admitted Thursday that he does not want to talk to his brother’s aide, Jun Abrasado.
Speaking to ANC’s Headstart, Butch Robredo said he still does not want to talk to Abrasado after the family received conflicting reports on how he survived the plane crash that killed the DILG chief.
“In all honesty po, ayaw ko pong magsinulanging.
Robredo said he understands if Abrasado feels burdened by the fact that he survived the crash while his employer drowned in the sea off Masbate.
He said he purposely avoided Abrasado since he did not want to say something hurtful to the aide. He said that after the crash, he was also helping in the retrieval operations in the hope that they would save his brother.
Siyempre nung time na yun ano pa ho yung ulo ko. I don’t think I was thinking straight. Emotionally… Baka may masabi akong hindi tama,” he added.
Butch said he knows Abrasado’s father, who was a former police colonel.
He also said there is no problem if Abrasado wants to visit the late DILG chief’s wake in Naga City.
