MANILA - Associate Justice Francis Jardeleza is taking a two-week leave of absence after being sworn in as the newest member of the High Court.
The Supreme Court spokesman said Jardeleza will use the time to wind up his affairs from his previous post.
Jardeleza was previously Solicitor General before being appointed by President as SC Associate Justice in place of retired SC magistrate Roberto Abad.
Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno has already agreed to his request.
It's been a busy week for Jardeleza who took his oath on Wednesday, just a day after being in the shortlist of candidates for the SC post.
