MANILA, Philippines – Task Force Kalihim successfully recovered the plane wreckage in Masbate, a few hours after the retrieval of the body of Captain Jessup Bahinting on Wednesday afternoon.

However, Transportation Secretary Mar Roxas said the body of Nepalese co-pilot Kshitiz Chand was not found inside the plane.

The Piper Seneca plane was carrying Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo, his aide Jun Paolo Abrazado, and the two pilots when it crashed off the coast of Masbate last Saturday.

Abrazado was rescued immediately after the crash.

Divers retrieved Robredo's body from the plane’s fuselage on Tuesday morning.

They said Robredo's body was the one easier to retrieve since he was near the door of the wrecked plane.

Authorities said divers will resume search and retrieval operations for Chand on Thursday.
